Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book my Mehndi with you?
Very simple: either email me (melissaaddamsart@gmail.com) or fill out the contact form on this website make sure to include the day and time you had planned and we can. Take it from there!
What kind of henna do you use?
Only the natural kind. I make my own paste using imported henna powder, sugar, and essential oils.
It gives a deep red-brown stain on most skin types, and lasts about 10-15 days before fading away.
I also use this fancy dye called Jagua which stains the skin a blue-almost black color safely and naturally.
It comes from the Jagua fruit or Genipapo.
Is there any preparations I should make before seeing you?
I always clean the skin with rubbing alcohol before starting, so any lotions or makeup you have will be cleaned off.
I do recommend (if it's in the evening) showering before hand, so you can wrap the henna up as soon as it dries,
and just go straight to sleep with it. (So it gets a darker stain). If you are getting a piece that is on a different part
of the body (i.e., sternum, side, leg, back, etc) wear something that will not rub against it. For sternum, wear a loose shirt.
For back pieces, try to wear a backless top or a very loose fitting one.
Do you accept card as payment?
Yes :)
Why don't you post your prices?
Each piece is its own story. So every piece would have its own price :) I cannot make a price for a design I cannot see on you.
Can I bring a design as inspiration?
Yes of course! You can text it to me or email it :)
Do you ever travel out of state for Bridal Mehndi?
All the time! If you would like to book me in another state besides FL I would be more than happy to accommodate, even other countries.
